My friend Ann's daughter showed up saying she was fleeing an abusive relationship and then basically left 2 small children with her and ran off with another man. Ann lives on a very small disability check (maybe $600 a month), she has suffered from several strokes which have left her in a wheelchair, and she can't eat so she is hooked to a feeding pump. With all those problems employees at DHR in Monroeville, decided to leave a neglected and abused 8 month old and a traumatized and abused 2 year old with her. Ann has no car but they gave her a free daycare to use but no way to get them there. They gave her food stamps for the kids for next month and have demanded that she take them place to place knowing she's confined to a wheel chair and cannot drive. They have scheduled meetings and not bothered to show up. They refuse to return calls . She has asked them to please place the children in a foster home. It's not that she doesn't love her grandchildren it's that she knows she can't physically or financially care for them . I have never seen such sorriness in all my days. These people are supposed to be in the business of helping people and helping children. They have surely dropped the ball. They need to fire these incompetent people.
