Carroll County DFCS Office

I just want to thank the folks at this office. I see and hear a lot of complaining about dfcs and even the Carroll County office gets a bad rap from a lot of folks, but I want to do just the opposite! I have always, I mean every time I have gone up there over the last three years, had a good experience in this office. Now it has been even better lately as they changed up the way they work a little. These are people doing their best, and often trying even more, to help people. Yes, we can tend to get angry or upset at the system and the workers there just happen to be the face we could blame, but they did not cause the problem. They are just the local folks who happen to be the only way we can get things fixed and have to deal with the state level not doing their jobs or just screwing up and often lying about the job they supposedly did. I don't think I could do your job and am thankful to have the help I need now. We need to appreciate you all more and be thankful that this is even here for us! Some recipients have never worked a day in their lives and yet have the gall to complain, scream and holler, etc. for something they never did anything to earn or deserve. I for one say thank you to everyone in this office for your help and patience with me as an often upset, frustrated, and sometimes angry, client! I have used two or three offices over the last thirty years as needed, and yours is the best I've ever experienced! Thank you!
