Holmes County Department of Job and Family Services helps families and individuals of all ages and from all walks of life. In Ohio, the county department of job and family services is established by law as the county agency designated to provide certain human services to county residents. Known many years ago as the Holmes County Department of Human Services, we are now known as the Holmes County Department of Job and Family Services. We administer programs under guidance from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Unlike other certain Ohio counties, Holmes County benefits from having four separate but related entities (Workforce Development, Child and Adult Protective Services, Child Support Enforcement, and Public Assistance) combined in one quadruple-combined agency, under one director, and located in one building. This arrangement reduces administrative and overhead costs and allows consumers of our services to access all these services in one convenient location.

The experience had in this building have been negative and very unprofessional. Staff are very disrespectful and disruptive. They openly talk down to you and they have a terrible communication issue. There was a time I had made 33 phone calls to a caseworker to have a release signed.
