Will in partnership with our community, provide appropriate services to children, adults and families to promote personal responsibility, independence and a safe living environment and self sufficiency. We shall accomplish our mission through the dedication of a committed and caring staff; who shall treat all individuals we serve as well as our peers with respect and dignity. The Seneca County Department of Job and Family Services is required to receive reports of child abuse and neglect, and to investigate those reports in a timely manner. When necessary, Seneca County DJFS works with families to identify services and develop a case plan that reduces the risk of future abuse or neglect. The purpose of the Child Support Program is to provide children with the opportunity for a better life. By working with both parents to establish and enforce support orders, the child support program helps children receive the financial and medical support they deserve.
