This agency is dysfunctional and unethical and lacks adequate leadership. Management is poor and they are very deceitful. I had an incident where my grandson had a mark on his arm that was said to possibly be a finger mark. They sent a detective to my house and made the report sound worse than what it was and tried to get me to go to the children's advocacy center in Scranton where my grandson would have to have his whole body looked over and his genitals examined and a naked picture of him kept on file. I took him to his own pediatrician and she had no concerns. Fortunately I spoke with a lawyer who advised me that I was under no obligation to go to their doctor, otherwise he would have been needlessly traumatized with strange doctors examining him naked for a mark on his arm. This agency has years of uncorrected violations and it's perplexing how they're allowed to continue to operate.

Pike County has some serious violations which are leaving the children of the county in danger. Their investigations are sub par and they have been cited several years in a row for violating the state regulations. The corrective action plan that has been submitted by the director has been rejected by the regional office that oversees the county due to it being inadequate to correct the deficiencies. This should be alarming to the not only the county residents but to the taxpayers who fund this agency which is being mismanaged. The links of violations for the past 3 years can be found at: 2016- http://services.dpw.state.pa.us/Resources/Documents/Pdf/ViolationReports/20170411_22242.pdf 2017- http://services.dpw.state.pa.us/Resources/Documents/Pdf/ViolationReports/20180409_22242.pdf 2018- http://services.dpw.state.pa.us/Resources/Documents/Pdf/ViolationReports/20190409_22242.pdf

Good morning, I am a New York City social worker working with a family that has a New York Child Protective case. One of the parents lives in Milford, PA 18324 and needs to complete a parenting class. Preferably NOT an on-line class. There are 3 children; ages 15, 11 and 9. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
